I hiked this grind last year and made it to the top even if I was the last across the finish line. This year will hopefully be better. The reason to do the grind is to raise funds to go towards the research for cancer treatment. Any donation would e appreciated as we all have been touched by cancer in some form. I am participating in this event in honour of one of the most amazing men I knew, Les Service. Les died of colon cancer on Feb 13, 2015. He was a 2nd father to me and an inspiration. Les could "do it all" and was quoted as "the master of everything". He will be forever remembered by many. Much love to his family. ❤️=❤️

In October 2013 Joel was diagnosed with stage III Rectal Cancer. Surgeries and chemotherapy treatments started immediately and filled virtually the next 1.5 year of our life. Joel smiled and remained strong and positive throughout it all. He is now 6+ months of being 'Cancer free'. We were so blessed with support from family and friends that we'd like to help to raise some money for Colon Cancer awareness and treatments, every dollar helps!!!!
